Worked on Japanese UI localization enhancements for the metabrainz/picard repository, focusing on updating and expanding translation coverage through Weblate. Leveraged Python and translation tooling to increase Japanese UI translation progress to 44.5 percent, improving accessibility and user experience for Japanese-speaking users. Established a structured translation workflow, aligning documentation and progress tracking to streamline future localization efforts. Collaborated with translators and reviewers to ensure accuracy and proper attribution in commits. The work addressed localization readiness by integrating translation updates directly into the codebase, supporting ongoing internationalization and making the application more user-friendly for a broader audience. No bug fixes were recorded.
