During March 2025, Stéphane Laurière enhanced the xwiki/xwiki-platform repository by implementing French localization for the Forgot Username email workflow. He introduced a French XWiki.Mail object and integrated it with the ForgotUsernameMailContent page, enabling the platform to send username reminder emails in French to French-speaking users. This work leveraged Groovy and Java, focusing on internationalization and localization best practices to align with the platform’s multilingual strategy. By addressing user communication in a non-English context, Stéphane’s contribution improved the user experience for a broader audience. The work was focused and well-scoped, delivering a targeted feature without bug fixes.
