Perdos worked on the hortonworks/cloudbreak-images repository, focusing on improving cross-cloud deployment reliability by addressing a missing dependency in the project’s prerequisites. By adding rsync to the configuration, Perdos resolved deployment failures specific to Google Cloud Platform and unified prerequisite checks across AWS, Azure, and GCP. This change reduced manual intervention and improved consistency in cloud infrastructure management. The work involved using YAML for configuration management and applied DevOps principles to streamline deployment processes. Although the contribution was limited to a single bug fix over one month, it demonstrated attention to cross-platform compatibility and practical problem-solving in cloud environments.
