Worked on the apache/nifi repository to enhance the stability and correctness of NiFi Python processors by addressing a critical bug affecting dependency resolution. Focused on ensuring that properties defined in parent classes were properly recognized as dependencies, the work involved updating the dependency identification logic to prevent runtime errors during processor execution. Leveraging Python and unit testing, the solution improved reliability by guaranteeing that inherited PropertyDependencies were correctly handled. This targeted fix, completed within a month, integrated seamlessly with existing components and addressed a specific issue linked to processor execution, demonstrating a methodical approach to software development and maintenance.
