During February 2025, Wang Xuerui expanded LoongArch support in the golang/go repository by developing LoongArch Toolchain Flag Support for Loong64. This work involved implementing new compiler and linker flags within the Go toolchain, enabling advanced cgo workflows and improving cross-architecture build compatibility. Wang designed and validated targeted tests to ensure the stability and forward compatibility of these enhancements, reducing friction for LoongArch users and laying a foundation for future improvements. The project drew on skills in compiler design, Go development, and system programming, demonstrating a focused approach to enabling robust Loong64 support without introducing regressions or instability.
